Russ Pike is a highly experienced specialist painter and decorator based in Nottingham. He is the proprietor of Prime Decoration, a respected family run business in Bramcote, and over the past 30 years, Russ has developed a reputation for working to the highest standards, quality guaranteed, on period properties and prestigious private homes.

Russ is expert in hand-painting, rolling and spraying, wallpapering and decorative paint techniques. He has been hand painting kitchens and furniture for over 20 years and has a passion for Period Property Decoration, he is a fully qualified Trainer/Assessor & Painting and Decorating Lecturer with New College Nottingham as well as an Assessor for the ICI Paints – Dulux Select Decorator Scheme, helping to maintain high standards with new applicants and re-assessments within the sheme.

Russ is a highly respected decorator, and has been involved in several community projects as well, and one in Derby recently, he coordinated about 100 assorted tradesmen, apprentices and volunteers over the course of a 2-day challenge. Since the early 80′s I have worked on myriad projects, but favour the special demands of period properties and prestigious private homes, where I come into my own, incorporating specialist traditional techniques with cutting edge efficiency-saving tools and equipment.

As part of my ongoing commitment to offer the best service possible, I have consistently attended courses to improve and showcase my craft skills. I am an approved Lincrusta installer & restorer, a Muraspec specialist, registered Repair Care User, a Dulux approved Select Decorator, a fine finishing / repair specialist, and recently became part of a UK network of specialist kitchen painters. I have also attended Conservation and water gilding courses at the Crick Smith University of Lincoln, and am working towards a Heritage NVQ.
